APCO member Linda Rose Ellis, 63, passed away Oct. 2 in Merryville, Louisiana. Ellis served as Beauregard Parish (Louisiana) Emergency 9-1-1 director after she was promoted from the post of 9-1-1 coordinator in 2014.

Survivors include her son, Ethan Lamar Shrout of DeRidder, Louisiana; brothers Billy Foshee and Kay of DeRidder; David Glaspie of Anacoco, Louisiana; sisters Mary Jernigan of Anacoco, Louisiana; Gloria Purcell of Rosepine, Louisiana; Sarah Peterson and Abe of Rosepine, Louisiana; Kathy Simmons of Walker, Louisiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
