The Jefferson County, Colorado, Communications Authority (JeffCOMM) is the 73rd Emergency Communications Center (ECC) in the United States and first ECC in the state of Colorado to implement the Automated Secure Alarm Protocol (ASAP). JeffCOMM went live with Tyco (Johnson Controls) at 9 a.m. MDT on Monday, September 28, followed by Vector Security, Rapid Response, Security Central, the National Monitoring Center, Brinks Home Security, Guardian Protection, Affiliated Monitoring, AT&T Digital Life, Protection One and Vivint.  ADT is scheduled to go live with JeffCOMM in November.

Colorado became the 16th state in the United States plus the District of Columbia to participate in the ASAP program.

The Ramsey County, Minnesota, Emergency Communications Center (RCECC) is the 76th ECC in the United States and first ECC in the state of Minnesota to implement the Automated Secure Alarm Protocol (ASAP). The RCECC went live with Vivint at 9 a.m. CDT on Monday, October 19,  followed by Vector Security, Rapid Response, Security Central, the National Monitoring Center, Brinks Home Security, Guardian Protection, Tyco (Johnson Controls), Affiliated Monitoring, Protection One, AT&T Digital Life and ADT.

Minnesota became the 17th state in the United States plus the District of Columbia to participate in the ASAP program.

“The implementation of ASAP to PSAP within the Ramsey County Emergency Communications Center (ECC) provides employees with the means to more efficiently dispatch responders to alarm calls involving both businesses and residences within Ramsey County”, said Nancie Pass, Ramsey County Emergency Communications Director.  “We are looking forward to this advancement in service to our community; increasing our ability to assist in saving lives and protecting property by decreasing the amount of time it takes to dispatch and subsequently respond to alarm calls.”
