(HUNTSVILLE, Ala., September 8, 2021) ー Hexagon’s Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial division has partnered with RapidSOS to deliver life-saving emergency data – including caller location, health and medical information, connected building data and more – from over 350 million connected devices to first responders in an emergency. This information provides unprecedented situational awareness so responders can arrive on scene faster and better informed.

Hexagon’s public safety solutions protect one in nine people worldwide. Through the partnership, Hexagon’s HxGN OnCall Dispatch software is recognized as RapidSOS Ready. HxGN OnCall Dispatch, Hexagon’s industry-leading computer-aided dispatch (CAD) solution, provides police, fire, ambulance, transportation agencies and others with superior incident management capabilities. The partnership enables Hexagon customers to harness additional data through the RapidSOS Platform to help deliver better service during emergencies and major events. For example, when a call is made from a user’s registered mobile phone or connected device, call-takers will automatically receive critical details about the caller to send to those responding to the call for service.
