APCO life and senior member RoxAnn Brown passed away July 27 in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, according to friend and APCO life member Nicole Pianalto.

Brown worked in the Metro Nashville Department of Emergency Communications until 2007, according to APCO records. Records indicate she worked on the commercial side of public safety communications with L.R. Kimball, Mission Critical Partners and Lafayette Group; in 2016, she started her own business, Brown Consulting.

Brown joined APCO in 1985 and served in numerous positions. She was the APCO Tennessee Executive Council representative. She was on the 9-1-1 Emerging Technology Committee, 2004-2005 and was a member of the Commercial Advisory Council, 2007-2016.

Pianalto said Brown had retired at the time of her death. Services are pending.
