Zetron’s MAX Dispatch System

Zetron’s IP-based MAX Dispatch system now includes an interface to Harris M7300 radios that is currently shipping, and an interface to Motorola’s SMARTNET/SmartZone trunking system, for which Zetron is currently taking orders. These interfaces improve the MAX Dispatch system’s interoperability and its ability to operate with both digital and analog technologies.

Redmond, WA, U.S.A., February 17, 2012 – Zetron, a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions worldwide, announced that its MAX Dispatch system now includes two new interfaces. One connects MAX Dispatch to Harris M7300 radios, which in turn support EDACS and Project 25 (P25); the other connects to Motorola’s SMARTNET/SmartZone trunking system. The Harris interface is now shipping, and Zetron is currently taking orders for the Motorola interface.

These interfaces expand the MAX Dispatch system’s ability to connect to multiple radio types, both digital and analog. They also improve its ability to support interoperability across agencies and jurisdictions when events require it.

MAX Dispatch, Zetron’s innovative IP-based console system, is being praised by industry experts for its advanced features, including its intelligent UI and complete end-to-end network redundancy. The system’s new interfaces support a number of significant public-safety scenarios. They provide support for both new and legacy radio technologies as public-safety agencies migrate from analog to digital radio schemes. They allow customers to migrate to Zetron’s MAX Dispatch system during one phase and upgrade their radios later. They also help ease the transition when public-safety agencies are being consolidated and must be able to use a variety of radios on the same console system.
