ProCHRT Releases Year-Three Report at Annual Conference
Minneapolis, Minn. – The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International today released the Professional Communications Human Resources Committee (ProCHRT) year-three report as part of an update to the APCO Executive Council while at the Annual Conference in Minneapolis. In conjunction with the report, ProCHRT also unveiled a new website that includes a toolbox containing research documents, sample letters to legislators, and other items that will help APCO members and chapters in promoting the professionalism of the public safety dispatcher.
ProCHRT was originally established three years ago as a task force to research and tackle the various human resource issues surrounding the public safety communications industry. Since then, ProCHRT has become a committee of dedicated individuals who will continue to work toward the goal of promoting professionalism.
APCO President Gregg Riddle acknowledged that “the work of ProCHRT, including their research efforts and push for mandatory training standards, is going to benefit not only APCO, but public safety communications centers across the country.”
You can contribute to ProCHRT’s efforts by following the committee on Facebook and Twitter.
