Bismarck/Mandan First Responders Backed by Tait P25 Interoperability
19 September, 2012, Houston, Texas – Tait Communications has completed installation of a P25 solution for the Bismarck/Mandan Metropolitan Statistical Area, North Dakota, providing critical communications interoperability for seven different public safety agencies.
The 10-site, 11-channel TaitNet P25 VHF conventional simulcast system supports 600 subscribers across seven public safety agencies in the Metropolitan Area—Bismarck Police and Fire, Mandan Police and Fire, Burleigh County Sherriff, Burleigh Rural Fire and Morton County Sherriff.
Mike Dannenfelzer, Communications Manager, Bismarck / Burleigh Combined Communications Center, says the Tait solution has met all of the key objectives.
“We had a number of critical requirements that the system absolutely needed to meet, including improved portable and mobile coverage, secure fire and medical communications, and enhanced system redundancy,” says Dannenfelzer.
“We now have the necessary infrastructure in place to operate a resilient and reliable network, which allows for secure, interoperable communications between emergency responders.”
Steve Cragg, President, Tait Communications Americas, comments:
“Throughout this project, different agencies have worked closely together, in partnership with Tait, to achieve the best possible result for the communities that make up the Bismarck North Dakota Metropolitan Area.”
