Report from APCO’s Commercial Advisory Council

Commercial Advisory Council September 1, 2010 APCO, Product & Service Announcements

At the 76th Annual APCO International Conference & Expo in Houston, Texas, last month, the APCO  Commercial Advisory Council (CAC) held elections for 25% of its membership as called for in SGI Bylaws that were adopted in 2009.

Also, an election was held for a new chair and vice chair. The six newly elected members are: Tony Harrison of The Public Safety Group, Greg Coleman of Harris Corp., Greg Ballentine of Geo-Comm, Julie Hemkes, Kevin Kearns of iXP Corp. and Mike Engllehaupt of RELM Wireless. Rick Ringold of WarnCon LLC was elected chair, and Rich Nowakowski of Network Innovations was elected vice chair.

The CAC has also instituted an e-mail address that APCO members can use to send questions directly into its listserv.  Any question relative to the function and operation of the CAC may be sent to CACquestions@apcointl.org. Be sure and put your name on your inquiry, and the CAC will formulate an answer for you and send a reply via e-mail.

The CAC meets in teleconference monthly and welcomes the opportunity to assist any APCO member or chapter officer in any way they can.
