ECaTS Announces Intrado as National Reseller of its Public Safety Intelligence Product
Roseville, CA – ECaTS is proud to announce the addition of Intrado Inc., a subsidiary of West Corporation and a leading provider of 9-1-1 technology solutions, as a national reseller of the ECaTS Public Safety Intelligence suite of products.
ECaTS, a division of Direct Technology based in Roseville, California, is a leading provider of universal reporting and hosted business intelligence solutions for the 9-1-1 industry. ECaTS delivers centralized reporting analytics for 9-1-1 agencies in counties, states and jurisdictions across the U.S. Using intelligent parsing and a secure, intuitive web-based portal, ECaTS provides real-time 9-1-1 statistics including call volume, frequency and geographical trends to public safety answering point (PSAP) managers and county and state administrators.
This reliable and scalable technology utilizes a combination of interfaces to extract data at each PSAP directly out of the call processing equipment (CPE) and uses complex algorithms to convert the data into one homogenous, high-availability reporting engine. The Emergency Call Tracking System platform has been deployed in multiple states and its simplicity and reporting power have guaranteed a leadership position in the marketplace.
Both ECaTS and Intrado have a long-standing history of collaboration and product development within the public safety industry which has resulted in the creation of ECaTS+. ECaTS+ is an Intrado-specific version of the ECaTS 9-1-1 reporting system that leverages the power of Intrado’s technology platform to provide a more robust data experience for ECaTS subscribers.
Under this reseller agreement, Intrado has become the first 9-1-1 CPE manufacturer to obtain National reseller rights of the full suite of ECaTS product and services.
“This is an exciting opportunity for both companies to bring best-in-class Public Safety intelligence and 9-1-1 call handling services to an industry that is desperately seeking standardized monitoring, reporting and accountability tools” said President of ECaTS, Fred Michanie.
Intrado will now be able to provide its customers with ECaTS’ reporting services regardless of the type of equipment and configuration established at the local PSAP.
“Disparate systems and technologies within a single jurisdiction or within regional and state-wide environments can make analyzing important call statistics challenging and expensive for PSAPs. “said Steve Lowe, senior vice president and general manager—Intrado. “We are excited to partner with ECaTS to offer the public safety community a centralized system for gathering important data in an efficient, cost-effective manner.”
