Washington, D.C.— The Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT) announced that TASC, Inc., a provider of systems engineering, integration and analytic services to government customers in national security and public safety, has become the Industry Council’s newest member.
“We look forward to engaging with iCERT’s members,” noted Gary Monetti, TASC’s Strategic Business Development Executive for Infrastructure Protection and Security. “This collaboration will help spark greater innovation for the benefit of improved emergency calling, communications and response systems.”
“Industry executives provide unique perspectives on using technology and key data to advance public safety,” said iCERT Chairman, Darrin Reilly, Chief Operating Officer for TriTech Software Systems. “It is crucial that we establish and maintain relationships where central emergency communications issues can be discussed. We are quite pleased that TASC has joined us and we look forward to their participation in our many efforts.”
“With a broad and successful history of working alongside public agencies and commercial partners to ensure that the basic values of our society are protected for our nation’s citizens, residents and visitors, incorporating TASC into the Industry Council will enhance our outlook as we address critical concerns in emergency communications and response,” offered George Rice, the Industry Council’s Executive Director.

About the Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT)
The Industry Council for Emergency Response Technologies (iCERT) represents the voice of the commercial sector in the emergency communications field. Established by a group of prominent leaders in December 2005 originally as the 9-1-1 Industry Alliance, iCERT – the Industry Council – plays an important role as the voice of companies on public policy issues impacting 9-1-1 and the emergency response system. Industry Council members believe that business leaders’ expertise can assist public policymakers and government emergency communications professionals as they address complex choices regarding advanced communications technology alternatives in the years ahead. Through advocacy, research and in coordination with the public sector, the Industry Council plays a vital role in the development and deployment of emergency response technologies.
