TIA Issues Call for Interest on new Project for Project 25, Phase 2 Two-Slot Time Division Multiple Access, Transceiver Measurement Methods

Arlington, Va. – The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.1 Engineering Committee on Equipment Measurement Procedures has issued a call for interest for document TIA-102.CCAA-A initially titled “Project 25, Phase 2 Two-Slot Time Division Multiple Access, Transceiver Measurement Methods”.

The purpose of standard TIA-102.CCAA-A is to provide definitions and methods of measurement for radio equipment used in Private Land Mobile Services that employ the Two-Slot Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) protocol used in Project 25 Phase II equipment. This equipment is used for transmission and reception of voice or data using digital techniques, with or without encryption, and with a frequency of 1 GHz or less.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to: Public Safety Users, P25 Users.

TIA is actively seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities.
