AVfusion Taps Convergence of IP Technologies with New Use for Security IP Cameras

Company Representative July 2, 2014 Product & Service Announcements

IPVideo Corporation, a manufacturer of IP-based video surveillance and command center solutions, introduces a turn-key audio/video recording, editing and streaming solution that uses select Panasonic and Axis IP security cameras. AVfusion is ideal for capturing lectures, training sessions, student presentations, interviews and interrogations, clinical studies, custodial visitations and any other situation that requires affordable, high-quality audio/video recording that doesn’t need to meet the full standards of professional broadcasting. Cameras used for recording to AVfusion may also be used as part of a VMS system, providing added value to end-users’ investment in cameras, as well as additional revenue opportunities for system integrators who support both security and AV technologies.

AVfusion software resides on a powerful master server that supports the streaming, recording and storage of up to 8 concurrent, synchronized audio/video streams, each at 30 fps. The solution is scalable; adding more servers allows for a higher number of concurrent recordings. Each recording may be comprised of a single audio stream and multiple camera views, which are seamlessly edited on-the-fly using a simple console interface. Notes may be added to the video file, corresponding to designated locations within the recording, making it easy to search for specific content.

Recordings may be made at standard or HD resolution. They’re recorded as MP4 files that can be easily uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo or other streaming services and viewed using any of today’s common media viewing software.

“We’re living in an era of IP technology convergence, and AVfusion taps into the power of this trend, providing added functionality for IP cameras that, in many cases, may already be in place,” explains David Antar, President of IPVideo Corporation. “An increasing number of companies and organizations are struggling with how to create affordable audio/video content for a wide range of purposes; AVfusion may be their answer.”
