APCO’s Ohio chapter’s longtime frequency adviser and APCO Life Member Paul Mayer has been selected to be part of the 2014 Class of Fellows by the board of directors of the Radio Club of America.

“To me, there is no higher recognition in my profession than this and I am truly honored and humbled,” Mayer said.

The award will be presented at the Radio Club of America’s annual meeting on Nov. 22 at the New York Athletic Club.

The Radio Club of America, founded in 1909, is the oldest, most prestigious assembly of radio communications professionals in the world with members in many countries. Its members are dedicated to the wireless art and science for the betterment of public safety, broadcasting, cellular and the uniting of people through innovation and technical advancement.
