Meet Your AFC Advisors: Bill Vincent (Louisiana)
AFC, APCO’s frequency coordination department, is pleased to introduce its network of dedicated local advisor volunteers. APCO’s advisors are responsible for frequency coordination in their home state and we would like to bring awareness and recognition to the dedication they exhibit on a daily basis. Please feel free to reach out to our local advisors with any questions dealing with FCC Part 90 licensing and frequency coordination.
Bill Vincent has served as APCO’s Primary Frequency Advisor for Louisiana since 1987. In March of 2015, Bill retired from his career in public safety, having served 13+ years in law enforcement, which included holding the position of Chief Deputy Sheriff of Lafayette Parish, followed by 33 years as Director of the Lafayette Louisiana 9-1-1 system. He remains active in APCO where, in addition to his activities as AFC Local Advisor, he was recently re-elected by the Louisiana Chapter as its long standing Secretary/Treasurer. Bill and his wife Louise enjoy traveling and visiting their 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
