Meet Your AFC Advisors: Jack Spillman (Montana)
AFC, APCO’s frequency coordination department, is pleased to introduce its network of dedicated local advisor volunteers. APCO’s advisors are responsible for frequency coordination in their home state and we would like to bring awareness and recognition to the dedication they exhibit on a daily basis. Jack Spillman has over 38 years of experience in the wireless communications industry, including conventional and trunked radio, paging, 9-1-1 dispatch centers, and site management. Locations served include Indiana, Tampa, Orlando, Atlanta and Denver. For the last 12 years he has served as Communication/Project Manager for the deployment of new P25 trunking systems for the State of Montana, Lewis and Clark County, and Flathead County.
Jack has been the APCO State of Montana frequency coordinator for the past 6 years, and looks forward to continued efforts in the RF world. Also won the APCO Technician of the Year in 2013. Member of the Montana SIGB committee, and the 700 Mhz board. Outside work pursuits include camping, fishing, hunting, and just about anything not related to RF.
