We learned that APCO Life Member Tom Sorley passed away on Saturday, February 3. Most recently, Tom served as Deputy CIO & Deputy Director IT Public Safety for the City of Houston, Texas and previously as Public Safety Communications Manager for Orange County, Florida. He also chaired the Public Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC) of FirstNet, was a member of SAFECOM and NPSTC, and served both the Florida and Texas chapters of APCO with distinction.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, February 11, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the Nathanial Center for Cultural and Biblical Education, 804 Russell Palmer Rd, Kingwood, TX 77339. The center is available to receive flowers up through Sunday. The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer’s Foundation, and condolences may be sent to Robin at their home.
