Terry Halls Speaks at Cassidian (EADS) User Conference in Seville, Spain

Terry Hall addresses an international audience at the Cassidian User Conference in Spain on Jan. 26, 2011.
On Wednesday, Jan. 26, APCO Second Vice President Terry Hall, director of Emergency Communications for York County, Va., was a featured keynote speaker at the annual Cassidian (formerly EADS Defence & Security) user group conference in Seville, Spain.
Terry’s presentation focused on public safety challenges in the United States, such as NG9-1-1, interoperability and staff retention, as well as an overview of the initiatives in Virginia.
The conference hosted more than 200 valued Cassidian customers from 30+ countries, including first-time participation from the U.S., where subsidiary PlantCML is located. The conference agenda included multiple keynotes, workshops and special sessions on using technologies, such as P25, TETRA and TETRAPOL, for:
- security in large events,
- disaster emergency management,
- cyber security challenges,
- network operations,
- first responder perspectives and
- tactical operations and defense.
Terry’s presentation was extremely well received by the audience and was rated in the top three presentations given at the conference overall.
