Major General Rashid Al Matrooshi of Dubai Civil Defence to Discuss Protection of Citizens in the Middle East
Alexandria, Va. — Major General Rashid Al Matrooshi, Departments DG, Dubai Civil Defence will open the APCO Global Congress on Monday, 6 June 2011. His presentation will focus on the 24×7 Enhancing Civil Protection through Technology.
The Congress, to be held June 6-8, 2011 in Dubai, will bring an array of new technology and training to Middle East public safety communications practitioners. Other educational sessions include:
- The Growth and Evolution of P25 (standards for digital radios that enable them to communicate with other agencies and mutual aid response teams in emergencies);
- Jordan Case Study in Developing a New Command Control Center;

- Mission Critical Communications at Planned and Unplanned Events.
The Dubai Civil Defence, which protects lives and property, ensures environment safety, transportation and communication safety utilities, and protects facilities, establishments during war, emergency and public disasters. The Dubai Civil Defence will also have one of its high technology vehicles on display during the Congress.
