Redmond, WA, U.S.A., June 15, 2011 – Zetron, a leading provider of mission-critical communications solutions worldwide, is unveiling its new MAX Call-Taking system at the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) conference and trade show in Minneapolis, MN, June 18-23, 2011. MAX Call-Taking provides the solid reliability for which Zetron is known in an innovative, SIP-based, Next-Generation 9-1-1 system. MAX Call-Taking is one of Zetron’s MAX Solution family of products, which includes the recently released and well-received MAX Dispatch System.
MAX Call-Taking employs the latest, standards-based IP protocols and IT best practices to offer the highest levels of scalability, usability, adaptability and availability. It also offers a full range of features and functionality that are important to 9-1-1 centers.
MAX Call-Taking includes:
• Intelligent User Interface – Innovative UI streamlines and simplifies operators’ tasks and displays only information pertinent to the event at hand. One-click operation improves response times and reduces operator fatigue.
Meets NENA human machine interface (HMI) requirements (NENA 54-750).
• Next-Generation 9-1-1 Capabilities – SIP-based and architected to meet existing and emerging NENA NG9-1-1 i3 standards. Compatible with Emergency Services IP Networks (ESInets).
• Automatic Call Recovery – Patent-pending design provides a resilient call connection even if network anomalies occur.
• Advanced Call Handling – Features advanced, dedicated queues and interactive voice response (IVR). Employs NENA’s emergency services routing proxy (ESRP) model for skills-based routing.
• Digital, end-to-end IP; 99.999% available – When MAX Call-Taking is deployed in a high-quality, reliable IP infrastructure, its self-healing protocols and redundant architecture provide 99.999 percent availability.
• Efficient “Green” Design – Server core consumes 5 percent of the power of conventional servers. Reduces energy costs and heat while increasing reliability.
“We are very proud of MAX Call-Taking’s breakthrough design,” said Zetron president and CEO Ellen O’Hara. “It builds on Zetron’s history of reliability and service in the E9-1-1 marketplace. MAX Call-Taking offers a powerful combination of innovation and simplicity. As a result, it improves operator focus and effectiveness, reduces response times, and provides the highest degree of functionality and reliability available in a Next-Generation 9-1-1 system.”
