Franklin County Delays New 9-1-1 Center by at Least a Year

July 27, 2011

FARMINGTON, Maine — A plan to build a new emergency 911 dispatch center for Franklin County will not be ready to go before voters until next year at the earliest, instead of this fall as some county officials had previously hoped. Commissioners decided last week to have a building committee review the project before presenting it to voters. The committee will consist of county officials and at least one community member.
