Grant to Supplement 9-1-1 Community Education
July 6, 2011LESA’s 9-1-1 community education program will get a boost this year with help from a $5,000 State Farm Good Neighbor Citizenship grant. The grant will go toward a year-long community education campaign, Be Safe – Be a Good Neighbor, beginning this month. The campaign aims to educate families and neighborhood groups about what to expect when calling 9-1-1.

July 6, 2011CAMPBELL, Calif., July 01, 2011 – Exalt Communications today announced that one of its microwave backhaul systems is providing vital communications support to U.S Forest Service firefighters battling blazes near Los Alamos, New Mexico. The Forest Service has established a fire command center at the Santa Ana Pueblo, a Native American community some 80 miles from Los Alamos, to oversee firefighting efforts in the area. It is using the Exalt system to connect the command center to the Pueblo’s data center for Internet access to order supplies, schedule deliveries, and perform other vital functions as it directs crews against the fires threatening Los Alamos and other areas.
